Fiction!!!!

FALTU!!!!    No I am not Faltu but yes the film was...

A complete waste of time(thank God I watched it on television this weekend, money saved!!).

Starcaste, songs, screenplay, nothing even worth mentioning.
The song- ' Party Abi Baki Hai', I didn't even knew belongs to the film(offcorse, how would I, no one ask from film the song is: from the Dj in a disco or a party RIGHT??  ;)))

The surprise package (yes even in this Faltu movie) was the story it was based on... "ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION".
Now I really asked myself, what is that??
where does it exsist in India?? or does it even exsist in India?? Is it a fictional movie??

Disappointed!!!
I didn't got any any answer.... GOD.........(sigh) and thats the only reason I watched the whole film, Yes just to get an answer.

Alternative Education: (caution, whatever you are about to read is not true)It is a branch of education that allows students who are not able to score much to study and practice there hobbies, what they enjoy doing.
This system strives to encourage students to CONVERT thier HOBBIES inti their CAREER.
Alternative Education does not focus on how much u score to take up the course and not even an enterance test.

Rolling on the floor laughing!!!!!1 :-D :-D :-D :-D
Finally I got my answer.... IT IS A FICTIONAL MOVIE!!!!!!!
yeahhhhh....

Wasn't it obvious, how dombo I am. Nothing like this exsist in India for sure.
It's the world with competition. We need to run to win the race(# Idiots :))).
Dance, Music, Djing, FItness Expert and a lot more.... these can just be hobbies to enjoy your extra time right??

A proper educational degree for this?? Na... only a diploma is enough.

***** IMPORTANT

this blog does not mean I don't respect the above mentioned professions.
but education just mean- COMMERCE, ARTS, ENGINEERING only.
Thats what I learnt since childhood and I am sure you too.

DIDN'T YOU????

Think Hatke

Virgin Mobile brand is India’s first national youth-focused mobile service.

Since its launch, Virgin Mobile has tried to create benchmarks in the youth and provide them the most innovative and differentiated offerings with the experience of a world class network.
Different like its name, Virgin brought many new and out of the box or as they call it hatke offerings in the Indian market. Like the pay per second scheme, earn per second of incoming calls, free Virgin to Virgin calling, and VAS services like vMingle’, ‘vBelong’, ‘vGenie’, ‘WOW’ ‘vJingle’.
Not to forget the hatke Virgin ads for Virgin Mobile.
I have always been a big fan of all Virgin's ad campaigns, not just Virgin India, but all over, as nobody I believe relates to its target audience better than Virgin does. All of Virgin's campaigns have been whacky, funny and out-of-the-box.

Virgin ads have taken youth advertising to another level.

Advertising, the Ogilvy way.

When it comes to advertising in India, nobody does it the way O&M does.
O&M or Ogilvy and Mather  is the first advertising agency in India.
Founded in 1928 by David Ogilvy, the father of modern day advertising, it has come a long way with its passion for building and nurturing, enduring brands.

The living legend of Advertising, Piyush Pande
O&M is an international ad agency that is based in several countries around the globe. In India, the advertising agency is headed by the moustachioed maverick Piyush Pandey.

Over the years it has helped create some of India's most successful brands like Asian Paints, Cadbury, Fevicol among them, and in recent times- Perfetti, Hutch, Close Up and many more.

A power brand in itself, Ogilvy & Mather is acknowledged as the leading communications agency in the country today.

Their defining quality is their firm belief in the value of brands and the important role they play in consumers' lives. The business of building brands is conducted through a proprietary way of thinking and working; what is called "360 Degree Brand Stewardship".

The famous brands they have been handling:
Bajaj Discover, Center Shock, Fevicol, Happy Dent, Hutch, Titan,
Perfetti Van Melle, Cadbury, Sprite, Asian paints, Amaron, Close up, etc.

O&M India has created some amazing commercials. Like the example of a utilitarian product like Fevicol. Popularising a generic white adhesive is definitely a difficult task, but humorous ads created by O&M, reportedly increased its sales by 35%. And who can forget the Hutch Pug. We all wanted to have a Pug after O&M brought it to Hutch.

Here's an Ogilvy advertisement of Hutch.
Enjoy.

Maggi, Maggi, Maggi!!

Remember singing this song when we were kids.
Maggi had been the, and still is, one of the most loved snacks. .(mera toh paka hai)

The joy of Maggi is as good as it was ever was.
With time, even with inflation and other things, its taste hasn’t changed.

It has only become synonymous to what it sells.
Chahe Top Ramen ya Wai Wai or Cup o’ Noodles,
Humare liya toh sab Maggi hai (kyu shops pe jake kitni baar we say- bhaiya ji magi dena and then specify kaunsi wali chaiye).

Best Thing About Maggi…

It can be made quickly, at a road side stall, or in a saucepan in a dorm room, or even with friend in the college canteen.

Types Of Maggi..

We have the classic massala magi; the butter masala magi, or the butter cheese masal maggi.
Put in some chopped beans, some peas some carrot and it takes the guilt away.

If you are a non-vegetarian(iam sure sare non- veggies ghoor ghoor ke dekh rehe hoge.. see I take care of all in my blog.. how nice I am:-p) add some keema or add a egg while its boiling.. It soaks up everything well.

You can have it drier, strained and steaming. You can have it soupy and wet, you can make pakoras of it, make sandwiches with it or even Upma..

Uses Of Maggi..

A hum sab itne USEFUL people(don’t take it literary, it’s a satire)  hai toh Maggi ke bi bahut sare uses hone chaiye na..

  1. If you don’t know how to cook, toh ji Maggi banani toh aati hi hogi paka..
Thus, first use say- Maggi saves us all from Hunger(specially when we have nothing else to eat).

  1. Classic massala magi, butter masala magi, butter cheese masal magi, maggi sandwitch, egg maggi etc.. Maggi can be cooked in various forms.
Toh second use kya hua?- Maggi gives us Variety.

  1. Acha before I write the third use, honestly tell you guys, kitni baar have you tried to impress a girl by making her a bowl of Maggi?? I am sure bahut baar and this is not only for guys, even girls must have done it..
Hence, the third use says- it helps us to impress our partners or would be partners.

  1. Partners ko toh impress kar liya, ab parents ko bi kar lo..
Fourth use- Maggi helps us impress our parents.
(I have tried this formula and it works a lot.. my mother was quite impressed!!)

  1. Maggi is Science.. Arre itne sari type ki Maggi hotihai and itne sare uses bi toh offcourse. We do loads of experiment with Maggi (remember magi upma, magi sandwitch). Thus, Maggi = Science.
So fifth use says- Maggi gives us opportunity to experiment as we do in science (and maggi ka Lab = Kitchen).

  1. For YOU….

Maggi is not just noodles. It’s an experience. And this inescapable experience comes from a small packet of its ‘TasteMaker’. This yellowish orange masala has just the right DESINESS to please all.

I have dedicated this blog to Maggi.. the 6th point is left blank for your expert comments…
Fill in this blank and you can add more..
Tell me what you like what you don’t  in Maaggi.
Your comments as well as additions are invited….

Prevention is the only cure

In India there are 2.4 million people living with HIV in India.
It is third in the world in terms of greatest number of people living with HIV.
With a population of around a billion, a mere 0.1% increase in HIV prevalence would increase the estimated number of people living with HIV by over half a million.
A no. of measures is taken up by the government to get this no. in control. But all these measures go in vain because this topic is not brought up. People in their conservative thinking are reluctant in bringing this topic up.
Parents don’t talk to their children about it, spouse don’t discuss it with there other half, Sex education is not compulsory in India.
And this is where the problem exists.

Medically no cure for AIDS has been developed yet. So the only option we have is preventing the spread of the disease. That can be only achieved only if awareness for the same is spread. Cause in the case of AIDS,
Prevention is the only cure.

What we need is change…

Don’t get mislead by the title. It’s not the Change as in transformation I am talking about, it’s about a funny and wonderful advertisement of Camelin erasable markers.

The best thing about the advertisement is that it fully exploits the concept of Homonym.
For those who don’t know what a Homonym is, here’s a vocabulary lesson recap.
Homonym is a word the same as another in sound and spelling but different in meaning, as chase “to pursue” and chase “to ornament metal. There numerous words in English which have more than one meaning. For instance, the very word English. It can be used for the language English or English as in a person belonging to England.

I guess that’s why Amitabh Bachchan called English a Funny language.

Getting back to the advertisement. Change usually is taken as any kind of shift or shuffle.
That’s what the lead character says to his employees but what they understand is that the boss needs change of money.

The advertisement excellently moves from one meaning of Change to another. Funny how meanings CHANGE from person to person.
So, It is always a good idea to know the meaning of words before we use them.
